About me

Hello! I’m Ilaria. Originally from Florence, Italy, I have been living in Porto since 2019. I combine an international perspective with a deep local knowledge of Portuguese culture, traditions and everyday life.

I am a professional licensed tour guide, travel designer and travel reporter with over 15 years of experience. Over the years, I have explored the world both as a tour leader and as a solo traveler, developing a strong belief in travel as a meaningful and transformative experience.

In 2025, I completed a 9-month solo journey around the world — one of the most powerful experiences of my life.

I chose Portugal as my home for its unique atmosphere, strong traditions and deep connection with the ocean — elements that I love to share with the travelers I meet.

My approach to guiding goes beyond traditional tours. I don’t simply show places — I tell their stories, connect them to the present, and help you understand the deeper identity of each destination.

I am also an author: I have written a guidebook on the Azores Islands and a travel narrative based on my solo journey through Chile and Bolivia.

I love art, nature, food, wine and outdoor activities — all essential parts of the experiences I create and share.
